I’ve started a separate blog called “The Sci-fi Writer’s Guide to Reality“. The idea is to provide an easy-access resource for sci-fi writers who don’t have a grounding in science or mathematics.
A brief introduction post is included here.
To begin with, the plan is to produce series of primers on different subjects, covering the basic science, common mistakes, suggestions for how to get around those mistakes, and some deep dives for the keener people.
In the future, I hope to expand the offering to include things like dedicated deep dives, Q&A sessions and open critiques.
The first primer series on “remote sensing” will be released over the next few weeks. See here for part 1. I’ll be aiming for Saturday releases, and while I’m aiming for monthly releases, but there’s no planned fixed schedule for now. Producing the posts is time intensive, so it has to fit around other things.
